What Causes Folliculitis – Folliculitis is swelling or infection that can have an effect on one or more hair follicles. It can be caused by bacteria, yeast or additional type of fungus.


Folliculitis Symptom:


  • Can result in a rash on thigh, armpit, buttock, etc;


  • Red in color hair follicles


  • Inflammation of the hair follicles


  • Tender hair follicles



  • A small blister or pimple on the skin containing pus


Scabs on the scalp is not a life-threatening condition, with proper treatment the scabs will clear on the scalp.
